Tip #9 Exam Wisdom

Before the Exam:

1. “Every time you study, you’re building your brain like a muscle—stronger

and smarter!”

2. “You’ve worked hard, and now it’s time to show what you know. Believe in

 yourself!”

3. “Focus on doing your best, not being perfect. Your best is always

enough.”

4. “Think of the test as a puzzle—solve one piece at a time, and you’ll get

there!”

During the Exam:

5. “Breathe in confidence, breathe out doubt. You’ve got this!”

6. “If you get stuck, don’t stress—move on and come back later. You’re in

 control.”

7. “Stay calm, stay focused, and keep going. One question at a time.”

8. “Mistakes are okay—they help you grow. Keep trying, and don’t give up!”

After the Exam:

9. “You did your best, and that’s what counts. Be proud of your effort!”

10. “An exam doesn’t define you. It’s one step on your journey, not the whole

story.”

11. “Every challenge you face helps you grow stronger and smarter for the

 next one.”

12. “Celebrate your hard work—you’ve earned it, no matter the result.”

Our Virtue of the Month for November and December is community! Consider looking for an opportunity during this time for your family to volunteer together. The United Way of the Coastal Empire has opportunities and  Second Harvest allows volunteers ages 12 and up when accompanied by an adult.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have this year. amaher@hancockdayschool.org

Each middle school student is required to complete ten hours of community service over the course of the school year.  Please remember to check this area of the blog for opportunities. Click HERE for a log form or see Mrs. Mannarino in the office.

Opportunity for 7th Grade Families
Each year, it’s a beloved tradition for 7th grade families to host the reception following the 8th grade graduation ceremony. This special event gives our 7th grade students and their families a chance to contribute to the school community in a meaningful way. Additionally, it’s a wonderful opportunity to show support for the 8th graders as they prepare to head off to high school and leave our “nest,” marking the exciting start of a new chapter in their lives. We will recreate hypothetical situations in which the students will engage in conversations using Spanish all the time. Encouraging messages from our students to the children were written on the insides of the cards.  Seventh grade unites in these patriotic canvases inspired by their singing a few lyrics to sound wave software. Freedom to be diverse yet united!
